Man Dies After Gresham Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was pronounced dead at the hospital after being shot last week in Gresham, police said Sunday.

The man, 56, was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 8900 block of South Lowe Sept. 29 at about 11:21 p.m. when an unknown offender opened fire, wounding him in the right leg and face, according to police.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and later pronounced dead. Nobody is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
