Man Critically Hurt In East Garfield Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was critically wounded Friday night in a shooting in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
He was standing on the sidewalk in the 2800 block of West Arthington Street about 9:10 p.m. when a male shooter approached and started firing, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The man, 18, suffered gunshot wounds to the groin, back and neck and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Alfaro said.
Area North detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody.
