CHICAGO (CBS) – A Chicago man was charged following a shootout inside a Walgreens store in the Old Town neighborhood Saturday night.

Lamont Morris, 26, was arrested on Sunday around 12:50 a.m., in the 1600 block of North Wells Street.

Police said less than an hour earlier, Morris, who was an employee at the store, was in an argument with a 32-year-old man inside before the two pulled out guns and exchanged gunfire.

Morris suffered a graze wound to the chest and refused treatment on the scene. The second man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, head, and abdomen and self-transported to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.

He was placed into custody and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon with no FOID card.

Morris is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Tuesday.

No further information was immediately available.
