Jon Lester Responds To Hundreds Of Fan Tweets After Signing With Cubs
(CBS) Left-handed ace Jon Lester hasn't had his introductory press conference with the Cubs yet after agreeing to a six-year, $155-million deal late Tuesday to come to Chicago, but he's been plenty busy interacting with fans on Twitter.
Lester has responded to hundreds of the tweets he's received -- both from angry Red Sox fans and from happy Cubs fans. Already, this is a move that's going to endear him to those at the Friendly Confines, as if his arm wasn't and presence wasn't already enough.
Lester's simply a man of the people.
