Police issue warning after 2 indecent exposure incidents on Chicago's Northwest Side

Police on Tuesday warned people to be on guard after a man exposed himself in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood.

The incident happened at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, on Central Park Avenue near Diversey Avenue. Police did not specify what the man was accused of doing, but they did say he was wearing a dark hat, coat, and pants, and blue shoes with white stripes and sole edges.

Police also have not said whether this incident was related to another indecent exposure at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Investigators said in that case, a man walked into a business near Milwaukee and Sawyer avenues in the Logan Square neighborhood and performed some sort of indecent act. He then ran away.

This man was wearing black gym shoes with white laces, gray sweat pants, a blue cap with a red strap, a black jacket, and a gray hoodie.
