Groupon's Latest Deal: Bedtime Tuck-In
CHICAGO (CBS) -- As the company's stock tumbled over the past several months, perhaps lost sleep among Groupon workers led to the company's latest, rather unique deal.
For $100, you can be tucked in by a Groupon employee.
Ben Kobold, a writer at Groupon, will come to your bedside and "analyze your linen seams and pillow placement, planning a tucking strategy as you enjoy a glass of water he has poured for you. After you hydrate, Ben's sinewy, well-groomed fingers delicately raise each sheet and blanket over your body until you're comfortably bundled."
Using his "summer-breeze-like voice," Ben will then sing you one of five a lullabies he has authored.
Witnesses will be provided to guard against anything more than that.
"Once your body temperature has fallen and your breathing has slowed, Ben and his legally required entourage of two or three companions will slip soundlessly out the front door and into the night," Groupon says.
Groupon also felt it was important to point out that Ben "is disease-free, physically."
The tuck-in service is only available between 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. within five miles of the 60601 area code. For some reason, Ben will not tuck you in on Monday, according to the deal's fine print.
Groupon insists this is a legit deal.
"This is the most serious deal that Groupon has ever seriously run in its serious history," Groupon worker Patrick S. wrote to one inquiring customer.
