Chicago Weather: Storm threat on Monday in Chicago

A slight risk is highlighting Chicago on Monday and Tuesday for the potential of strong to severe storms.

The timing for both days seems mainly to favor the morning to the early afternoon.

Right now, it is expected that rain and storms will arrive to the area around 5 a.m. Monday and wrap up around 3 p.m. On Tuesday, the time frame looks more like 4 a.m. until 10 a.m.

After those timeframes, however, there is still a chance for storms to fire back up before the evening hours.

Strong wind gusts and large hail will be the biggest storm threats.

Monday: Severe storm threat. High: 80, Low: 68

Tuesday: Severe storm threat. High: 80, Low: 50

Wednesday: Breezy. High: 60, Low: 46

Thursday: Cooler lakeside. High: 61, Low: 49

Friday: Cooler lakeside. High: 68, Low: 55

Saturday: Cooler lakeside. High: 70, Low: 56

Sunday: Partly cloudy. High: 79, Low: 61
