Boy, 16, Fatally Shot
(CBS) – A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot, and another teen was wounded, in the South Chicago neighborhood Monday evening.
The two were standing outside in the 7900 block of South Merrill when a car drove up and a man got out and opened fire before speeding away, Chicago police said.
The other victim, 17, was hit in the back. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
