(CBS) – Two women have been attacked at knifepoint at North Side boutiques in the span of a week. Are the incidents related?

The latest incident occurred at Londo Mondo in Lincoln Park, in broad daylight. A suspect armed with a knife demanded an employee to empty money from the cash register. A co-worker who overheard the exchange called 9-1-1.

The suspect fled after the co-worker came out of the office.

The robber had said he was shopping for a gift for his girlfriend, similar to the MO used by the suspect in a similar robbery last week.

In that incident, a woman clerk at Green Goddess Boutique on Damen Avenue was stabbed and required medical attention.

A $10,000 reward is still being offered in the earlier robbery.
