Model, award-winning producer and transgender rights activist Geena Rocero joins "CBS Mornings" to talk about her new memoir "Horse Barbie." Rocero discusses her upbringing in the Philippines, life as a transgender beauty pageant star and keeping her transgender identity a secret after she immigrated to America.
According to a national survey, LGBTQ+ Southerners continue to face discrimination in three major areas of society.
"The Los Angeles Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families," the team said in a statement.
The Associated Press analyzed the language in more than 130 bills targeting transgender youth and found many are similar or even identical to model legislation written by special interest groups. AP reporter and editor Jeff McMillan joins CBS News to discuss the findings.
The Dodgers said that The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a nonprofit charity, activist and artist group, was no longer invited and would not receive a planned award.
