Rep. Luna accuses Sen. Gallego of misconduct
Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida told CBS News she's urging Senate Majority Leader John Thune to look into what she called "disturbing" allegations involving Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego of Arizona, including sexual misconduct. Gallego has denied the allegations and a spokesperson for him said in part, "these are right wing conspiracy theories being parroted by a fringe far right member of Congress."

In Las Vegas, President Trump promoted his tax policies, such as no tax on tips or overtime. But some people who spoke with CBS News said rising gas prices due to the Iran war are erasing those gains. Before leaving for Las Vegas, Mr. Trump also addressed potential peace talks, saying "Iran wants to make a deal."
Latest on Strait of Hormuz blockade
The U.S. Navy said it has turned back 10 Iranian-flagged oil tankers attempting to evade its blockade of Iranian ports. In response to the U.S. blockade, Iran has vowed to block shipping lanes in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. Charlie D'Agata reports.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani reflected on his first 100 days in office, saying "we're seeing the kind of progress we were told was impossible." The mayor told "CBS Mornings" that he believes democratic socialism "can flourish anywhere" and discussed his relationship with President Trump.
