The weather here at home will be lovely! It's going to be filled with sunshine along with low humidity.
We are dodging downpours this morning as a cold front treks to the east. Brighter skies and drier air will work in from west to east late this afternoon.
All is quiet across Southern New England on this last Monday in August '12.
The quiet weather, sunshine and low humidity, will prevail as we edge our way closer to the last weekend of August. The beginning of Meteorological Fall is nearing, which is September 1.
The jetstream will begin to flatten out into 'zonal' position before supplying some ridging this weekend. This will result in a tranquil weather pattern throughout the extended forecast.
Besides a slim chance for an isolated shower here or there, the next 7 days look very quiet.

Today, skies will become partly sunny and there will be a chance of a hit-or-miss spot storm through mid to late afternoon. Most of us will be dry though. High temperatures will reach the lower and middle 80s.
