Woman Struck By Freight Train In Norwood
NORWOOD (CBS) -- A woman was struck and seriously injured by a freight train in Norwood Monday morning.
Transit police said the woman, who's about 50 years old, was hit by a southbound CSX train just before 11 a.m. while trespassing on tracks near Norwood Central station.
The woman was taken to a local hospital.
The incident resulted in some MBTA commuter rail delays on the Franklin line.
Authorities are investigating.
