Woburn Company To Help Design Flying Car For Combat

WOBURN (CBS) -- A Woburn company, Terrafugia, has been named part of a team that is designing a flying car for combat, designed to rumble over rough terrain and then fly off at a moment's notice.

The federal agency that developed the Internet -- Darpa (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) -- is launching the $56 million design program for what has been code-named "Transformer."
