Woman Killed, 5 Injured In Westport Crash
WESTPORT (CBS) -- A New Bedford woman was killed and five passengers were hurt after the woman's car flipped over on its roof on I-195 early Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 3:13 a.m. on I-195 Eastbound near Exit 10.
State Police said Cassandra Camacho, 25, was killed when the 2006 Honda Civic she was driving struck a jersey barrier and rolled over one time. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five other passengers--three men aged 19, 26, and 30, and two women aged 18 and 23, all from New Bedford--were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The right lane of I-195 was closed at the scene, but was reopened about two hours later.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
