WEST BROOKFIELD (CBS) – Police say all three teens killed in a West Brookfield crash on Tuesday were students at Quaboag Regional Middle High School in Warren.

Officials said the victims were two girls and a boy.

The deadly crash happened on Douglas Road, which is a short distance from the Warren School.

According to officials, the car left the road, hit a tree, and rolled over.

"It's tragic. It's a parent's nightmare. My thoughts and prayers are with the Quaboag community," said Brett Kustigian, the Quaboag Regional Schools Superintendent. "This is fresh, it just happened tonight. We've got our crisis plan together and we're going to get through this together because we're a small, tight-knit community."

In a statement, Warren Police said, "There was a horrible accident this afternoon in West Brookfield that claimed the lives of three young people."

The cause of the crash is not yet known.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims and the entire population at the school," Warren Police added. "We are asking that everyone please respect the privacy of the families of the victims and avoid the area of the accident so that police can try to determine the cause of the crash."

Grief counselors will be made available on Wednesday at Quaboag Regional High.
