Opening day is this Thursday and the Red Sox kick the season off in Detroit.

New manager Bobby Valentine has been the main attraction all throughout Spring Training and this weekend the Boston Globe went Bobby V. crazy.

They had a huge story about the manager written by a few different Boston guys. The spread makes mention of Valentine's accomplishments and relationships with celebrities.

We learned from other articles that Bobby V. is a master craftsman building fences and decks with his own two hands.

Well in this most recent article we learned that he also built batting cages in 1986 for the Texas Rangers.

Bobby also at one time went on a double date with Phil Collins and he even knew someone that could be tracked to knowing Marilyn Monroe.
