Toucher & Rich: 'No Excuses' From Patriots Corner Kyle Arrington
BOSTON (CBS) - It should come as no surprise the New England secondary would like to put Sunday's performance against the Seattle Seahawks behind them, and move on to the New York Jets.
Patriots corner Kyle Arrington joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich on Tuesday, and wasn't making any excuses for his performance, or that of the secondary as a whole, in the team's 24-23 loss to Seattle on Sunday.
"They made the plays and we didn't No excuses on our part," said Arrington. "We're going to work out butts off this week. We feel we're better than that; the fans deserve better."
After he gave up a pair of big plays, including at 24-yard touchdowns to Seahawks wide out Doug Baldwin to give Seattle a 10-7 lead in the second quarter, Arrington found himself on the bench for rookie Alfonzo Dennard.

"It was a coaching decision, so I can't really comment either way on it," said Arrington. "It was a tough game. I'm just looking to bounce back on and off the field against the Jets."
"As a football player in general, there are plays you wish you could get back. We've had a few of them we could have gotten back or played differently," he said. "We're just anxious to get out there on the practice field this week."

While the secondary has come under scrutiny, so have Patriots cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer and safeties coach Brian Flores. Arrington has nothing but good things to say about Flores -- who is in his first year as cornerbacks coach after serving as the defensive backs coach the last three years -- and says the blame falls squarely on the players.
"We have a great relationship. Josh is one of the best guys I know, one of the smarter guys I know as well. I couldn't be happier with our relationship," said Arrington. "We all just have to go out there and do our job. We hold ourselves very accountable for players. He shouldn't be under any scrutiny."
