Toucher & Rich: Joe Haggerty: Looked Like The Bruins Were Sleepwalking
Game one of the first round did not go the way the Boston Bruins had hoped. They were unable to get anything by Montreal goaltender Carey Price.
Joe Haggerty joined Toucher & Rich to discuss the loss and this team's struggle to score goals. Did Zdeno Chara have his worst game as a Bruin? Why can't this team score with any regularity?
The guys also discussed Shawn Thornton's performance, why didn't he get more ice time? Haggerty agreed that Thornton should have been out there more based on his performance.
"There were a lot of games this year where Shawn Thornton was the difference between winning and losing, when he got a few more minutes," Haggerty said.
They also discussed the poor performance of the first line. Was it good defense by the Canadiens or were the Bruins just coasting?
