Toucher & Rich: Bloggers Fire Back At Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy

Dan Shaughnessy's made plenty of people upset in his three decades writing for The Boston Globe, with the most recent group being bloggers.

Shaughnessy took aim at anonymous bloggers, using Kansas City fans cheering Matt Cassel's injury as his jumping-off point.

"It's an issue about civility in America today," Shaugnessy wrote. "It's about accountability. It is about angry fantasy football players who do not know how to look someone in the eye, or hold a face-to-face conversation. It is about fanboy bloggers who kill everyone and everything under the brave cloak of anonymity. It's about instant tweets fired from the safety of your basement. It is about anonymous bullying with the World Wide Web serving as the new bathroom wall."

Naturally, the blogging world did not take kindly to being blamed for the actions of some dumb, likely drunk fans in Kansas City.

Shaughnessy called in to Toucher & Rich to discuss the story, and bloggers were able to get in their responses to the column.

Jerry Thornton and Rear Admiral from Barstool Sports, Rich Levine from CSNNE, Matt Yoder from Awful Announcing, Mark Marino from, Jay King from Celtics Town ... and Adolfo Gonzalez sent their messages to Shaughnessy.

"Those are love letters compared to the stuff I see," Shaughnessy responded.
