Toucher & Rich: Bert Breer On Week 7 Around The NFL
The Patriots had the week off, but there was still football being played on Sunday. Bert Breer of the NFL Network was out in London to cover the Chicago and Tampa Bay game.
Toucher & Rich talked with Breer about the game in London, Tim Tebow's start and Matt Stafford leg injury.
Tim Tebow started in his first NFL game for Denver against Miami. The Broncos tied it up in the end and won it on OT. Is this kid the real deal?
"Well unless you consider that he played like crap for three and a half quarters and he was going against a winless team that seems to be finding a new way to lose every week, yeah he was great," Breer said.
Breer went on to say that he doesn't think that Tebow is a lost cause and that he feels that you need to build an offense around him. Something that Breer thinks the Broncos are not interested in doing.
Rookie quarterback Christian Ponder got his first start for the Minnesota Vikings against the Green Bay Packers. Was Breer surprised at how easily the game has come to him?
"It's amazing at how few busts we've had over the last four years. If you look at the quarterbacks that have gone in the first round, you're so conditioned to seeing okay this guy makes it this guy doesn't," Breer said.
They also went on to discuss Matt Stafford's injury, is there much wrong? All this and more with the NFL Network's Bert Breer.
