DA SHOW CBI BRACKET BREAKDOWN

Check out the full CBI bracket here

Scoring Breakdown System

  • 1st round: 1 point
  • 2nd round: 2 points
  • Semifinals: 4 points
  • Finals: 8 points
  • Tiebreaker: Location of final 3 game series

Current Standings

Perks: 7 points (7/8)

JDeer: 6 points

Curtis: 5 points

B Robb, Keefe and Dr. BS (4 points each)

DA: 2 points

Projected Standings

Front Runners:

  • Perks has come out of the gate strong, riding his Morehead and Cougar picks to nailing 7 of his first 8 picks. He has 3 of 4 final four picks still in play along with 2 finalists.
  • Curtis had a decent 1st round, hitting 5 of 8 picks, but has all 4 final four teams still in play. He's got some ground to make up, but could have the inside track on the CBI Championship.

In the Hunt:

  • B Robb Slow start 4/8, but could have a strong charge late, with 3 of 4 final four picks alive including both finalists a dark house pick as champion in BU.
  • J Deer On Perks heels with 6 points, but some questionable 2nd round picks leave him with just 2 of  final 4 picks alive (Morehead, IUPUI). His Championship pick though is still in play, so he's a contender.
  • Dr. BS also had a mediocre showing in the 1st round, but like J Deer, still has his championship pick alive in VCU, so don't count out the good doctor.

 Brackets Busted

  • Keefe is in the middle of the pack now with 4 points, but that's probably where the Sports Hub headliner will peak as his CBI champion pick, Oregon State are out already. Keefe must have missed the memo on OSU being a sub .500 team. Poor research there .
  • DA There are bad brackets and then there is DA's bracket. He sits in the cellar right now with 2 points…..and that's all the points he will be getting in this pool. All of his future picks are out. 0/4 on the final four…..pathetic performance. It's safe to say you shouldn't be asking DA for his insight on mid tier NCAA teams playing an irrelevant postseason tournaments.

Possible Points Remaining

(Perfect Bracket: 32 points)

Perks: 29 points

Curtis: 29 points

B Robb: 26 points

J Deer: 22 points

Dr. BS: 20 points

Keefe: 16 points

DA: 2 points
