Bus Catches Fire In Sturbridge
STURBRIDGE (CBS) - A bus fire caused traffic delays Saturday afternoon in Sturbridge.
Massachusetts State Police say the fire occurred around noon in the area of the on-ramp from Exit 9 to Interstate 90 eastbound.
Two lanes were closed while crews tended to the blaze, and there were delays at the Interstate 84 tolls.
Officials say 52 people were on the bus. It was a group of University of Connecticut students heading for a Boston Harbor cruise. However, the trip was canceled and they returned to campus.
No one was hurt.
The scene was cleared around 3:30 p.m.
