Police arrested 20-year-old Robert Pavao of Berwick, Maine. Pavao is charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the woman's death "under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life."

Pavao is expected to be arraigned Monday in Rockingham Superior Court in Brentwood.

According to court documents, Pavao was a security guard at Timberland, where the victim also worked. Pavao and the woman did not know each other, according to court paperwork.

"Authorities are investigating gathering up any physical evidence in the case, as well as talking to individuals who may have evidence that may pertain, to not only the connection between these parties, but also what simply happened that day," said Associate Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin.

A Timberland spokesman issued a statement following the woman's death.

It is with extreme sadness that we share news of the loss of a beloved member of the Timberland community. The incident took place on Sunday, February 9th at our Stratham, New Hampshire headquarters. Police are actively investigating and have a suspect in custody; we are cooperating fully with authorities. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones as they process this senseless tragedy.

The woman's identification has not yet been released.
