Small Plane Crashes After Takeoff At Sterling Airport
UPDATE (3/12) -- The pilot in the crash has died, according to authorities.
STERLING (CBS) – Emergency crews are responding to a small plane crash near Sterling Airport.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The FAA said a Cessna 177 crashed after taking off from Runway 16.
The plane clipped trees and came to a rest about 100 yards from the end of the runway.
It is not known if the pilot, who was the only person on board, was injured.
