Shaq Joins TNT As NBA Analyst
BOSTON (CBS) – Shaquille O'Neal did not get to enjoy retired life for long, although his new job will be much less grueling than the rigors of an NBA season.
TNT announced on Thursday that Shaq will be joining their broadcast team as an NBA analyst, joining Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson for their NBA studio show.
Over his 19-year NBA career, O'Neal won four NBA titles playing for six different franchises. The first overall pick in 1992, Shaq was named Finals MVP in each of his three titles with the LA Lakers from 2000-2002. He won his fourth and final championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat.

O'Neal played last season for the Boston Celtics, averaging 9.2 points and 4.8 rebounds over 37 games. He was sidelined by injuries for the second half of the season and only played in two playoff games.
O'neal averaged 23.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game over his career.
Shaq is no stranger to the public, announcing his retirement over social media. He had his own show "Shaq vs" and has appeared on the big screen as well.
His big personality should make for some interesting TV, whether it is exchanges with Barkley or some commentary on former teammate Kobe Bryant.
