Salem Police Seek Owner Of Dog Hit By Car
SALEM (CBS) -- Authorities are trying to find the owner of a dog hit by a car that did not stop over the weekend.
Salem police say witnesses reported seeing the dog hit by a taxi cab on Salem Street. It appeared the driver didn't realize anything had been hit and kept driving.
No one has stepped up yet to claim the male pit bull, which suffered an injury to its right foot and leg. It's possible the dog may need further care and surgery.
The dog does not have a microchip. Anyone with information is asked to call Salem police at 978-744-1212.
