Richard Sherman Reportedly Agrees To 3-Year Deal With 49ers

BOSTON (CBS) – Richard Sherman has reportedly reached a 3-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Sherman reached the agreement Saturday night.

Sherman traveled to San Francisco to meet with Jimmy Garoppolo's 49ers.

Josina Anderson expanded on Schefter's report with a list of teams that showed initial interest. That list, however, did not include the Patriots.

Patriots fans had hoped Sherman would be on his way to New England but instead, he headed to San Francisco.

Seattle released Sherman on Friday in an effort to save money.

The cornerback, who will turn 30 at the end of the month, was set to count for more than $13 million against Seattle's salary cap next season and is coming off a torn Achilles injury.
