Report: Patriots Sign DT Marcus Stroud

BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots have signed Defensive Tackle Marcus Stroud to a two-year contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Stroud, a three-time Pro Bowler, was released by the Buffalo Bills this offseason. The 10-year veteran started 14 games for the Bills in 2010, finishing the season with 49 tackles and three sacks. Selected 13th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2001, Stroud has 29.5 career sacks.

The move will give the Patriots more depth on the defensive line. Ty Warren missed all of 2010 with a hip injury, and Gerrard Warren is set to become an unrestricted free-agent.
