Report: Patriots' Danny Amendola To Have MRI On Knee Tuesday

BOSTON (CBS) -- The 10-0 New England Patriots will have a harder and harder time maintaining their perfect record if injuries continue to pile up like they have in recent weeks. The latest victim is receiver Danny Amendola, who left Monday night's win over the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury in the third quarter after attempting to play through the pain.
The NFL Network's Albert Breer reported Tuesday morning that Amendola is scheduled to have an MRI on his knee to further evaluate the injury, but FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo followed up saying the team is optimistic that the injury is not serious.
Amendola had 9 catches for 117 yards prior to exiting the game, and appears to be Brady's top target behind Rob Gronkowski. With Edelman already out and the offensive line continuing to struggle with health and continuity, the Patriots can't afford many more injuries, if any at all.
