Red Sox Hit Field, Community On Tuesday
FORT MYERS, FL (CBS) - The Red Sox will continue their workouts Tuesday morning, as they get ready for their first Spring Training games on Saturday. That's right, the Sox are just four days away from hitting the field against Boston College and Northeastern.

In addition to workouts, the Red Sox will be performing community service at three nonprofit agencies in Lee County Tuesday afternoon. Players and front office staff will be at the PACE Center for Girls, Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc's Every Marketplace and Montessori Preschool, and Eden Autism Services School. Activities will include mentoring sessions, stocking shelves and assisting residents with food, and making improvements to a school's playground.

Nice to see that even with a busy schedule, the team still has time to give back to the community. This is just one of the many community events for the Red Sox this week, which includes Wednesday nights "Evening With The Red Sox" to benefit the Lee County Boys and Girls Club, and Thursday's 18th annual golf tournament to benefit the Southwest Florida Children's Hospital.
