BOSTON (CBS) - Penn State trustees fired football coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier Wednesday night amid the growing anger over how the school handled sex abuse allegations against a former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.
Paterno was told of the allegations in 2002 by Mike McQuery, currently the receivers coach at Penn State, who allegedly witnessed Sandusky sexually assaulting a young boy in a school shower.
