RANDOLPH (CBS) – The man wanted for a murder in Randolph has been taken into custody. State Police say 32-year-old Justin Gaston surrendered to officers in Lynn Tuesday afternoon.
Gaston was wanted for the shooting death of 33-year-old Haki Sanders at Sanders' home on Petipas Lane in Randolph Monday night. Police said Gaston and Sanders knew each other and the incident was not random.
State Police say Gaston, who was considered armed and dangerous, was "taken into custody without incident, in face of strong police presence."
"This was a coordinated effort, leading to his capture without incident," Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey said. "Chief William Pace and the Randolph Police, the State Police detectives assigned to the Norfolk DA's Office, the State Police STOP Team and others worked together to bring this search to a safe conclusion."
Gaston is expected to be arraigned Wednesday morning in Quincy District Court.
