Possible Fuel Leak Forces Emergency Landing For Boston Bound United Flight
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- A jetliner carrying nearly 190 people to Boston has landed safely in Omaha after a possible engine fuel leak was discovered.
Authorities say United Flight 788 landed at Eppley Airfield about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday. The flight had taken off from San Francisco.
Three firetrucks were standing by in Omaha as the jet landed. About three hours later, the Boston-bound passengers boarded
another United plane and took off. Mechanics are checking the jet engine and the plane's fuel system.
