Plainville Principal Makes Good On Promise To Kiss Pig
PLAINVILLE (CBS) -- Jackson Elementary School principal Kate Campbell made good on her promise to students Thursday by kissing a pig.
The students were excited to see it.
As for Campbell? Not so much.
"I have never done anything like this," Campbell told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "I take my own children to a petting farm and stand from afar, so this is big."
Campbell promised the students that if they read 1,000 books in March, she would kiss a pig.
The students read an estimated 3,300 books.
That meant Ariel, a 7-year-old pot belly pig from a North Kingstown, R.I. rescue farm, got three kisses -- which she seemed to enjoy.
