Phantom Gourmet: Great Brazilian Restaurants

BOSTON (CBS) – You don't have to travel to Rio to get a taste of World Cup cuisine.

Here's the Phantom Gourmet's guide to great Brazilian restaurants, right here in the Boston area.

Extravaganza, Framingham

For real Brazilian food, Extravaganza in Framingham makes a meal more like a celebration.

"Food is a huge part of Brazilian culture. We like to party. We like to dance. We like loud music but food is a big, big thing in Brazil."

Rodizio Grill, South Shore Plaza Braintree

Rodizio Grill at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree serves a veritable buffet of beef.

Servers circulate the dining room, slicing and dicing Brazilian style picanha steak, aong with pork, chicken and even glazed pineapple.

Chama Grill, North Andover

Chama Grill in North Andover has two distinct menus, one for classic Italian cuisine and another for all you can eat Brazilian barbecue.

"We give you the option of 12 different cuts of meat and unlimited sides to go along with it for pretty much the same price you would pay for that standalone steak dish with its couple sides."

And if you'd like to sample some award-winning American barbecue, from Texas, Memphis and Virginia, the Phantom Gourmet Barbecue and Music Festival is next weekend on Boston's City Hall Plaza.

Watch Phantom Gourmet on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 and 11 a.m. on myTV38.
