Patriots-Eagles Week 13 Predictions

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots look to bounce back from their loss in Denver as they host the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.

The Eagles are a bit of a mess right now, dropping three straight games -- including their last two by a combined score of 90-31. Chip Kelly is on the hot seat as both coach and GM, and it really shouldn't matter if it's Sam Bradford or Mark Sanchez under center when they come to Foxboro.

The Patriots meanwhile are coming off their first loss of the season, and they do so as a pretty ticked off bunch. With a few of their injured players likely coming back, this one could get ugly.

Check out the predictions for Sunday's game from the WBZ-TV, WBZ NewsRadio 1030 and 98.5 The Sports Hub teams:

Levan Reid, WBZ-TV Sports

Despite the injuries, the Pats will be 11-1 Sunday night after beating the Philadelphia Eagles. This is the classic case of two teams going in different directions.

New England rarely loses two games in a row and they rarely lose at home. So they have that going for them and we can expect them to have a solid game plan together. Look for the Pats to get back on the right track. It would be nice to see LeGarrette Blount get out in front of this and have a good game.

Regardless, the Pats are better than the Eagles.

Dan Roche, WBZ-TV Sports

With Rob Gronkowski out this weekend things will have to change again on offense for Tom Brady and company. It helps that Danny Amendola may return, but things still won't be easy on that side of the ball.

The Eagles have struggled mightily on offense though, so the Patriots' D should do well and be able to force some turnovers. Getting out to an early lead would be huge for New England.

Patriots 28, Eagles 13

Adam Kaufman, 98.5 The Sports Hub/WBZ 1030 AM

The Eagles are mediocre. Bad, even. On offense, Philadelphia's averaging 22 points a game, 14th in the NFL. It's passing attack is 16th and the rushing offense ranks 12th. Defensively, the Eagles are allowing 25 points a week to sit 23rd. Their passing-D is 20th and the run-defense is 27th - barely on the map. They give the ball away literally as often as they take it (a turnover-differential of ZERO if that wasn't obvious). There are few, if any, stars. There's a reason the Pats are 9.5- point favorites.

This one's over, and it hasn't even started yet.

While it appears receiver Danny Amendola and linebacker Jamie Collins are in line to return, there's no need for them to play many snaps if they aren't needed. In other words, let's see if the Pats can get out of a game HEALTHY for the first time since October. Imagine that?

Patriots 31, Eagles 14

Mike "Sarge" Riley, 98.5 The Sports Hub/WBZ 1030 AM

The Eagles drew the sticks to face an angry Patriots team after last weekend, and I'd fly away now if I were them.

Tom Brady may not have all of his weapons, but he will still find a way to get it done. Jamie Collins will also make his return this weekend, but with or without him, I wouldn't have been too concerned with the Pats D.

If you told me to predict this game back in the pre-season I'd have it a lot closer. But the wheels have come off the wagon with Chip Kelly's Eagles.

Patriots 27, Eagles 14

Rob "Hardy" Poole, 98.5 The Sports Hub

To paraphrase Chuck Klosterman, the Eagles were virtuosos in a genre that didn't need one.

Oh, that's the band. The football team? No idea. But I'll take the Patriots.

Patriots 11, Eagles 8
