Colonial Reenactors March From Sudbury To Concord And Lincoln To Mark Patriots' Day
LEXINGTON (CBS) - Patriots' Day honors the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first of the Revolutionary War, as British soldiers were driven out back to Boston by the Massachusetts militia.
On Monday, the colonial reenactors known as the Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute, made their annual march from Sudbury to Concord, and later to Lincoln.
Their march commemorates the mission of the colonists who made the trip on April 19, 1775.
