No Suspension For Bruins Ference
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference will not be suspended for his hit on Montreal's Jeff Halpern in Wednesday night's Game 7, Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli said on Thursday.
Halpern was hit with, or skated into, Ference's shoulder with 11:30 left in the third period, leaving the Canadiens center on the ice and woozy. After being helped off the ice, Halpern spent time in the locker room before returning.

This is the second time in a week Ference has had a disciplinary hearing with the NHL. He was fined $2,500 after an "unintentional bird" to Montreal fans in Game 6.
