NightSide - Selective Reporting Or Something More Sinister?

BOSTON (CBS) - You would think that when someone kills more than one or two people, it would be national news. And sometimes it is. For example, when Dylan Roof killed nine black churchgoers last June, it was the lead story across the networks. But these stories don't always generate the headlines they deserve. Earlier this week, an illegal immigrant gunned down five in a killing spree before finally being apprehended by police, and yet there was barely any coverage of the story. Do you think this is simply a matter of picking and choosing stories at random? Or is there an element of bias that affects which stories get reported and which stories get buried?
