Neil Patrick Harris Accepts Hasty Pudding Award
CAMBRIDGE (AP) — Neil Patrick Harris has taken the stage at Harvard University dressed in a wig, lingerie and red heels to accept the 2014 Man of the Year Award from America's oldest undergraduate drama troupe, Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
The Emmy Award-winning television actor played a teenage physician on "Doogie Howser, M.D." and currently stars as suave ladies' man Barney Stinson on the hit CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother." He was teased about his TV work during Friday night's award presentation and was kissed by men in dresses.
Hasty Pudding Theatricals holds irreverent ceremonies every year to honor people who've made notable contributions to entertainment.
The 2014 Woman of the Year was "Red" and "The Queen" actress Helen Mirren, who visited Harvard last week and showed off her twerking skills.
