Nanny Facing Child Endangerment Charges For Being Drunk On The Job
SALEM (CBS) – A nanny accused of being drunk on the job is facing child endangerment charges.
Salem Police say the nanny, Susan Conway-Lally, was so drunk she could not unlock the door.
The parents of the four-month-old girl hired her through Care.com.
Firefighters had to break the apartment door down so the baby's mother could reach the crying infant inside.
Investigators say Conway-Lally's blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit.
She admitted to police that she has a serious drinking problem.
Care.com issued a statement saying, "We are deeply troubled by this incident and our thoughts are with the family. We have reached out to local law enforcement to provide any assistance we can."
