Troopers Find Missing 7-Year-Old Mattapan Boy Safe

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police say 7-year-old boy Bienquisto Jean-Pierre, who went missing in Mattapan Friday morning, has been found safe.

His mother had said he left their home on Norfolk Street while she was in the shower at about 6:20 a.m.

Officers were in the area Friday morning looking for him.

Massachusetts State Police said a trooper thought he saw a child walking down the street that resembled a description of Jean-Pierre. He left his post but couldn't track the boy down.

He reported his search to a lieutenant, who saw the same child and was able to approach him. State Police contacted Boston police, who brought Jean-Pierre home.
