Milford Police Officer Suffers Severe Head Injury On Construction Detail
MILFORD (CBS) – A Milford police officer was seriously hurt while working a construction detail Monday morning.
An Eversource contractor, Devereaux Corp., was putting in a gas line on Water Street around 9 a.m. when one worker raised a steel bucket and hit Officer Nathan Hathway in the head, according to police.
Hathway was rushed to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with a severe head injury.
Police said he was conscious at the hospital and was in stable condition Monday night.
Hathway has been a Milford police officer since 2009.
