Man Who Walked Into Onset Pond Found Alive In Woods

ONSET (CBS) -- Fire officials say a man who walked into an Onset pond and went out of view on Wednesday has been found alive.

First responders received a medical call to Dick's Pond at 4:45 p.m.

Witnesses told firefighters that the man went into the water before losing sight of him.

A dive team and rescue teams from Wareham and Plymouth County worked together in the search for the man. A State Police air wing also provided assistance.

A man in his 40s was found in a wooded area around 6:30 p.m.

He was taken to Toby Hospital.

The man has not been identified, and his condition is currently unknown.
