Methuen Police Search For Driver After Deadly Hit And Run Crash

METHUEN (CBS) – Police in Methuen are looking for the driver who struck and killed a 57-year-old man Monday night.

The man, who has not been identified, was standing next to a tow truck that was delivering a vehicle to his house on Jackson Street when he was hit at about 8:40 p.m.

Methuen Police Chief Joseph Solomon asked residents who live between Ranger Road and Pleasant Valley Street to check their home security cameras for any video that might help their search.

Police were seen at a home on Brook Street overnight, less than a mile from where the hit-and-run happened.

A white sedan was towed from the home. It had front end damage, a smashed windshield and the side mirror was hanging off. However, police have not confirmed whether this was the car that was involved. Investigators could also be seen taking bags of evidence out of the house.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Methuen Police.
