Local Students Compete In Rubik's Cube Tournament
BOSTON (CBS) - Some of the best and brightest kids from around New England competed today in a Rubik's Cube tournament at Boston's Museum of Science.
Former New England Patriots star, Ty Law, emceed the competition that saw more than a dozen local schools competing to pull off the fastest time solving 25 Rubik's Cubes.
More than a hundred students from all grades competed in the "You CAN Do the Rubiks Cube" competition.
According to Boston.com, Middleboro High School student Jillian Fraser solved a cube in 28.18 seconds, helping her school take first place, which included a $500 grant. Middleboro managed to solve 25 Rubik's Cubes in 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
Freetown Lakeville Middle School student Cameron Sheedy helped carry his team to a second place finish by solving a cube in 35.13 seconds.
Concord-Carlisle took third place.
