Debris Crashes Through Car Windshield On Huntington Ave.
BOSTON (CBS) – Huntington Avenue in Boston was shut down Tuesday night after a piece of debris smashed through a car windshield.
Police say an 18-wheeler hit the top of an underpass and somehow loosened a piece of wood.
The 2x4 crashed through the windshield of a car driven by Nancy Shapiro. She was not injured and says she calmly pulled over and spoke with the truck driver, who had stopped.
A bridge engineer and inspectors took over to check the bridge's structural integrity.
The road was reopened at about 10:30 p.m.
