Gubernatorial candidates to debate tonight
The Massachusetts gubernatorial candidates are beginning their campaign homestretch with a debate.
Democrat Deval Patrick, Republican Charles Baker, independent Timothy Cahill and Green-Rainbow Party candidate Jill Stein meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV and WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
The hourlong debate will be moderated by political analyst Jon Keller.
All the candidates are uncontested in next week's party primaries, and the debate offers the first live, televised forum as they seek to capture voters' attention leading up to the Nov. 2 general election.
At least four more debates are scheduled, on television and radio, in eastern and western Massachusetts. More are likely to be added.
WBZ's Dan Rea moderates another debate among the candidates Tuesday September 14 at 8 p.m. on Nightside on WBZ NewsRadio 1030 and www.wbz.com.
