Gov. Patrick: It's Time To Express Gratitude, Support For Military From Mass.

BOSTON (AP/CBS) — Massachusetts officials honored past and present members of the Armed Forces during a Veterans Day ceremony at the Statehouse in Boston.

Gov. Deval Patrick, Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray and Department of Veterans' Services Secretary Coleman Nee were among those in attendance at Sunday's ceremony.

Patrick says it's a time to express gratitude, pride and support for military personnel from Massachusetts, and to reinforce the state's commitment to providing veterans with opportunities for employment and other resources when they return home.

The ceremony included special guest Stephan Ross of Boston, a holocaust survivor freed from a concentration camp by American soldiers in 1945, and a tribute to women veterans.
